What is Morphe Dialer?

This is Google's own Phone app, the dialer on Pixel phones that Google also offers for some other Android phones. In regions where Google allows it, the app can record calls, but it plays a spoken notice to both people when a recording starts and again when it stops.

The patch in this build, Call recording announcements remover from Taknok's community bundle revanced-patches, replaces those two voice prompts with silence. It also adds a dot to the end of the search bar hint, so you can tell at a glance that you're running the patched copy. The community AutoBuilds pipeline built the APK with ReVanced CLI, not Morphe. Neither the Morphe developers nor this site made it.

What's different

No spoken recording notice

The starting and ending recording announcements are blanked out, so starting a recording no longer plays the voice prompt.

A dot in the search bar

The search hint ends with an extra ".". It's the patch's way of marking the modified app.

Everything else is stock

Calling, contacts, voicemail and call screening behave like the regular Google Phone app. Only the two prompts and the hint changed.

Recording still depends on region

The patch doesn't switch call recording on. If Google hasn't enabled it for your country or carrier, this build won't add it.

Recording laws differ a lot. In many places everyone on the call has to agree to be recorded, and removing the announcement doesn't change that. Check what applies where you live.

Installing the patched dialer

  1. Check whether Google Phone came preinstalled on your phone. On Pixels and other phones where it's a system app, Android won't accept a copy signed with a different key, so this APK won't install there without root.
  2. If you installed Google Phone yourself from the Play Store, uninstall it first.
  3. Download the universal APK from the box above and open it. Allow installs from your browser or file manager if asked.
  4. Go to Settings → Apps → Default apps → Phone app and pick Phone so it handles your calls.

Questions about the patched Phone app

It's Google's Phone app with one resource patch from Taknok's open-source revanced-patches bundle, built with ReVanced CLI by the community AutoBuilds pipeline. It isn't from Google or the Morphe developers. A dialer handles your calls and contacts, so think twice. It is an unofficial, modified APK, and any modified APK carries some risk, so only install it if you trust the source.

No. It only silences the announcement. Whether the record button shows up at all is still decided by Google for your region and carrier.

Usually not. On Pixels the Phone app is part of the system image. Android keeps that copy even if you uninstall updates, and it refuses to install a version signed with a different key over it.

That depends on where you and the other person are. Many places require consent from everyone on the call. The patch doesn't change your legal obligations.
