What is Morphe Fxfile?

FX File Explorer is a file manager from NextApp that has been around for years. The free app handles local storage, archives and the usual copy, move and share jobs. A one-time FX Plus purchase adds network shares, Web Access from a computer's browser and FX Connect for phone-to-phone transfers.

This APK was patched by the community AutoBuilds pipeline using ReVanced CLI and indrastorms/Dropped-Patches, a bundle that keeps a few patches alive after their original authors dropped them. It's not a Morphe patch set. The FX patch is called Unlock FX Plus, and it makes the app's FX Plus check always return true. Its description names Web Access, Network and FX Connect as the features it opens up.

What Unlock FX Plus opens up

FX Plus check bypassed

The app's 'is Plus unlocked' check always says yes, so it behaves as if you'd bought the add-on.

Web Access

Browse and move files on your phone from a web browser on your computer over the same Wi-Fi.

Network

Open network locations such as shares on your PC or NAS from inside FX.

FX Connect

Send files between two phones running FX.

Installing FX File Explorer

  1. If you have FX from Google Play, uninstall it first. Android refuses to install an APK with a different signature over it. Your saved network connections will need to be set up again.
  2. Download the Universal APK from the box above.
  3. Allow installs from unknown sources for your browser or file manager when prompted.
  4. Open FX and grant storage access when it asks.

FX File Explorer FAQ

It's unofficial. The community AutoBuilds pipeline patched the original FX APK with ReVanced CLI and indrastorms' open-source Dropped-Patches bundle and re-signed it. NextApp and the Morphe team didn't make it. A file manager can read all your storage, so think twice and install it only if you trust the source.

The patch description lists Web Access, Network and FX Connect. It works by making the app's FX Plus check return true, so other Plus features may turn on as well, but only those three are named.

No. The patched app installs like any APK. FX's separate root features are not part of this patch.
