What is Morphe Geocaching?
Geocaching is the official app from Geocaching HQ for the GPS treasure hunt of the same name: people hide containers all over the world, you find them with your phone and log the find. A free account shows you part of the map, and a Premium membership opens up the rest of the cache types and tools.
The APK on this page was produced by the community AutoBuilds pipeline using Morphe CLI and the third-party brosssh/morphe-patches bundle, not the official Morphe patches. To be upfront: the bundle release it was built with contains no Geocaching patch. There used to be an Unlock Premium features patch, and even then its own description warned it only worked as a root mount install. It has since been dropped from the bundle. So treat this as the normal app, signed with a different key.
Before you install
Same map, same caches
Searching for caches, navigating to them and logging finds work the way they do in the store app. The build doesn't change any of that.
Premium stays Premium
There's no Premium patch in this bundle, and the old one needed root anyway. What you see depends on your real membership.
Installs without root
It's an ordinary APK. You only need to allow installs from your browser or file manager.
Universal build only
One APK that runs on ARM64 and older 32-bit phones alike.
How to Install Morphe Geocaching
- Uninstall the Play Store version of Geocaching first. The signatures don't match, so Android refuses to install over it. Unsynced drafts or offline data on the phone may go with it, so log any pending finds before you remove it.
- Tap the download button above to grab the Universal APK.
- Let your browser install unknown apps if it asks (Settings → Apps → Special app access → Install unknown apps).
- Install the APK, open it and sign in with your Geocaching account.
Morphe Geocaching FAQ
Geocaching HQ didn't make it, and neither did the Morphe team. The community AutoBuilds pipeline built it with Morphe CLI and brosssh's open-source morphe-patches bundle, then re-signed it. Modified APKs always come with some risk. Install it only if you trust that source.
No, don't count on it. The bundle release used here has no Geocaching patch. The earlier Unlock Premium features patch said in its own description that it only worked via mount install with root, and it's no longer in the bundle.
Your finds and profile live on your Geocaching account, not in the APK, so you just sign in again after installing. Logs that never synced before you uninstalled the store app won't carry over.
