What is Morphe Letterboxd?
Letterboxd is the film diary a lot of people use to log what they watch, rate and review films, keep a watchlist and follow friends' lists. Free accounts see banner ads. Pro and Patron remove them and add things like extra stats.
This APK is built from kim20598's community bundle hakim-morphe-patches with Morphe CLI, by the community AutoBuilds pipeline. Five patches are on by default. They hide the ads, add a settings screen for the mods, and give you a few more ways to make the app look how you want. It isn't an official Morphe build, and your account stays on whatever tier it really is.

Hide ads
Stops the Google AdMob banners that free accounts see from loading anywhere in the app.
Letterboxd Mods screen
Long-press the settings gear on your profile tab to open it. Theme, accent and the other mod options live there, so you don't need to re-patch to change them.
Appearance options
Pure Black, Purple or Midnight Blue surfaces, a custom accent colour from presets or any hex value, and a choice of bottom navigation style. These need Android 12 or newer.
Readable Watched-by stars
Other people's ratings in a film's Watched by row change from a very dark grey to the lighter grey used elsewhere, which helps a lot on black themes.
Denser poster grid
Tightens the spacing in poster grids so posters show up bigger. The number of columns stays the same.
The bundle also has Force Patron, custom posters, a Material You theme and a baked-in theme, but they're off by default and most likely not in this automated build. Force Patron would only be cosmetic anyway, because Letterboxd's servers know your real tier.
Installing it
- Uninstall the Play Store version of Letterboxd. Your diary, ratings and lists are stored on your Letterboxd account, so nothing is lost.
- Download the universal APK from the box above.
- Install it, allowing your browser or file manager to install unknown apps if Android asks.
- Sign in, then long-press the settings gear on your profile tab to set up the mods.

The runtime Appearance options use resource overlays that only work on Android 12 and later. On older Android versions the theme picker has no effect.
