What is Morphe MacroFactor?
MacroFactor is a calorie and macro tracker that doesn't just hand you a fixed target. It looks at what you log and how your weight moves, estimates how much you're actually burning, and adjusts your numbers at a weekly check-in. It's made by Stronger By Science, has no ads, and costs money after the free trial.
The build here was patched by the community AutoBuilds pipeline with hoo-dles/morphe-patches, which is hoo-dles' bundle and not part of official Morphe. For MacroFactor that bundle has just one patch, Enable Premium (ROOT). The name says it: it needs a root mount, meaning the APK is overlaid on the Play Store app on a rooted device. Sideloaded as a normal app, the premium side most likely won't work.
What's in the MacroFactor build
One patch: Enable Premium (ROOT)
Targets MacroFactor's paywall. There's nothing else for this app in the bundle, so no extra tweaks to expect.
Mounted over the real app
The Play Store install stays on your phone and the patched code is mounted over it at boot.
Root is not optional
The patch's own requirements list a root mount. Without root, treat this as a plain copy of the app.
You manage updates
When MacroFactor updates, the mount needs a patched build of the same version before it works again.
Installing MacroFactor with a root mount
- Get the official MacroFactor from the Play Store at the version listed in the download box.
- Download the patched APK (it's a single universal file).
- Use a root-mount capable installer to mount the APK over the official app. Don't uninstall the Play Store copy first; it has to stay.
- Turn off auto-update for MacroFactor in the Play Store so the version doesn't drift.
MacroFactor build FAQ
No. It's built by the community AutoBuilds pipeline using hoo-dles' morphe-patches, an open-source third-party bundle, and this site is an unofficial page that links to it. Modified apps are a risk you take on yourself, so only install it if you trust those sources.
It means the patch lists a root mount as a requirement. You need a rooted phone with the official MacroFactor installed, and the patched APK gets mounted over it. A regular install on an unrooted phone isn't what the patch was built for.
MacroFactor keeps your data on your account, and with a root mount you aren't uninstalling the official app anyway, so your history should stay put. If you sideload instead, you'll be signing in to a fresh install.
The Play Store replaced the version the mount depended on. Wait for a patched build that matches the new version, mount it again, and keep auto-update off this time.
