Install trouble? Fix "App not installed" · Which APK do I need?
Messenger is Meta's chat app for your Facebook contacts. This build uses HushMessenger by SysAdminDoc, a community patch bundle for the Morphe patcher built around privacy and less clutter. It isn't an official Morphe bundle, and the APK is built by the community AutoBuilds pipeline rather than by Morphe or this site.
Something to know before you install: almost every HushMessenger feature is off the first time you open the app. The bundle adds a HushMessenger entry to Messenger's Menu tab (a long press on the Messenger logo at the top of Chats opens it too), and you switch things on under Controls. That's on purpose, because some of them, like hiding read receipts, change what other people see.
Open a chat without sending Seen, and stop showing others that you're typing, encrypted chats included. A Mark as read button lets you send Seen when you're ready.
Hides the Meta AI button, tab, menu entries and AI suggestions in search, plus the AI sticker tools.
Messages stay on screen after someone unsends them (not in encrypted chats). A separate local log saves messages from notifications, encrypted chats too.
Stops analytics uploads, ad attribution, app list and device ID sharing, nearby Wi-Fi scans and MQTT logging. These cut specific reports; they don't make Messenger private.
Hide the stories and notes row, People You May Know, Facebook shortcuts, promotions and the People or Notifications tabs. You can pin up to 20 chats instead of 3.
With HD on, photos go out at full size and videos skip re-encoding, within Messenger's size limits. It also fixes videos that fail with Unable to send.
View stories without appearing in the viewer list, save someone's story photo or video, and stop stories from moving on by themselves.
A Material You dark theme, system emoji, your own font, the old emoji drawer, chat heads or native bubbles, and any app icon without a subscription.
