What is Morphe Pokecardex?

Pokécardex is a collection manager for the Pokémon Trading Card Game. You point the camera at a card, it recognises it, and the card lands in your collection with its set and number. Free accounts only get a limited number of scans, which runs out fast if you're cataloguing a binder.

This build goes after exactly that limit. The community AutoBuilds pipeline patched it with Morphe CLI and Almewty/my-morphe-patches, a small third-party bundle that is still a dev pre-release. It is not an official Morphe patch set, and the Pokécardex developers have nothing to do with it. The bundle has two patches, both switched on by default, and it doesn't touch anything else in the app.

What the two patches change

Scan counter frozen

Disable scan counter stops the app from bumping your scan count each time you scan a card.

Higher free limit

Increase scan limit moves the free allowance from 30 scans to 50, according to the patch description.

Everything else is stock

Collection lists and card details behave like the Play Store app. Nothing beyond the scan limit is unlocked.

32-bit ARM build only

The only APK is armeabi-v7a. It runs on most phones, but 64-bit-only devices can't install it.

Installing the Pokécardex APK

  1. If Pokécardex from Google Play is on your phone, uninstall it. This APK is signed with a different key, so Android won't update over the store version.
  2. Download the armeabi-v7a APK from the box above. There's no ARM64 or Universal file for this app.
  3. Open the file and let your browser or file manager install unknown apps when Android asks.
  4. Start Pokécardex and sign in again if you use an account.

Phones that dropped 32-bit app support, such as the Pixel 7 and later Pixels, will show a 'not compatible' error. There's nothing to fix on your side; the app just isn't built for them here.

Pokécardex questions

It's an unofficial build. The community AutoBuilds pipeline took the original Pokécardex APK, applied Almewty's open-source my-morphe-patches bundle with Morphe CLI and re-signed it. Neither the Pokécardex developers nor the Morphe team made it. Any modified APK carries some risk, so install it only if you trust the source.

No. The bundle only has the two scan patches: one stops the scan counter from going up and one raises the free limit from 30 to 50. Other paid features are left as they are.

Only a 32-bit ARM (armeabi-v7a) APK exists for this app. Most ARM64 phones still run 32-bit apps, but some recent ones, like the Pixel 7 and newer, only accept 64-bit apps and will refuse it.

Almewty's patches are written for one specific Pokécardex release. The build pipeline sticks to that release until the bundle supports a newer one.
