What is Morphe Proton VPN?
Proton VPN is the VPN from Proton AG, the Swiss company behind Proton Mail. Its free plan has no data cap, which is rare, but you can't choose the server yourself, there's a wait before you can switch to another server, and settings like split tunneling are reserved for the paid Proton Plus plan.
This APK was patched by the community AutoBuilds pipeline with hoo-dles/morphe-patches, hoo-dles' third-party bundle (not official Morphe). The bundle has four Proton VPN patches, all on by default, and they're all about the app's settings: split tunneling, custom DNS, LAN connections, plus removing the delay when you change servers. The paid servers stay paid. Your account decides which servers you can connect to, and no patch changes that.
Four patches for Proton VPN
Unlock split tunneling
Choose which apps go through the VPN and which use your normal connection.
Unlock custom DNS
Point the VPN at your own DNS server instead of Proton's.
Unlock LAN connections
Keep reaching your printer, NAS or Chromecast on the local network while connected.
Remove delay
No more waiting before you can switch to a different server.
Servers don't change
Plus servers and countries still depend on your account, so a free account stays on free servers.
How to install it
- Download the APK from the box above. It's a single universal build.
- Uninstall the Play Store Proton VPN. The patched copy has a different signature and won't install over it.
- Allow installs from unknown sources for your browser or file manager, then install the APK.
- Sign in, and accept Android's VPN connection prompt the first time you connect.
Proton VPN FAQ
Think about this one carefully. A VPN app sees all of your traffic. This build comes from the community AutoBuilds pipeline using hoo-dles' open-source morphe-patches, not from Proton or the Morphe team, and this unofficial site only links to it. Install it only if you trust those sources.
No. None of the patches touch server access, which your account controls. You get the Plus-only settings on the free servers.
The free app makes you wait before you can switch to another server. This patch takes that wait out.
No. It's a normal APK and uses Android's built-in VPN system.
