What is Morphe Pydroid?

Pydroid 3 is a Python 3 IDE that runs entirely on your phone, so you can run scripts with no internet connection. It comes with pip and its own repository of prebuilt packages, which matters for libraries like NumPy, Matplotlib or scikit-learn that are a pain to compile on Android. There's also Tkinter support, a terminal, and a built-in C/C++ compiler for packages with native code. Some features are behind a premium upgrade.

This APK was patched by the community AutoBuilds pipeline using hoo-dles' morphe-patches, a third-party bundle, not the official Morphe one. The bundle has one patch for Pydroid 3, Enable Premium, which turns on the features behind the paywall. The patch description doesn't list which ones those are.

What you get

Enable Premium

The single Pydroid 3 patch in the bundle. It switches the app to its premium state.

Offline Python 3

The interpreter is on the device, so scripts run without a connection.

pip with prebuilt packages

Install scientific libraries from Pydroid's own repository instead of compiling them on your phone.

Made for 64-bit ARM

The app's version name ends in _arm64, which suggests this is the ARM64 build, the kind most phones made in the last several years use.

Installing Pydroid 3

  1. Download the APK from the box above. The file is labelled universal, but the version string points to an ARM64 build, so it suits most modern phones. Older 32-bit or x86 devices may not be able to install it.
  2. If Pydroid 3 is installed from the Play Store, copy your scripts somewhere safe and uninstall it. The patched APK has a different signature.
  3. Allow installs from unknown sources, then install the APK.
  4. Open Pydroid 3 and let it finish its first-run setup before you install packages with pip.

Pydroid 3 FAQ

It's built by the community AutoBuilds pipeline using hoo-dles' open-source morphe-patches bundle. The Morphe team didn't make it, and this unofficial site only links to it. An app you write and run code in has access to a lot, so think twice and only install it if you trust those sources.

The file is named universal, but the app's version name ends in _arm64, so it's most likely the ARM64 build. That covers most current phones. On 32-bit ARM or x86 devices it may refuse to install.

Anything saved inside the app's private storage goes with it. Copy your scripts to shared storage or another app before you uninstall.

No. It installs like any other APK; the patch doesn't ask for root.
