What is Morphe Solid Explorer?

Solid Explorer by NeatBytes is a file manager with two panes side by side, which makes moving files between folders a lot less fiddly than on most Android file apps. It opens ZIP and other archives, and it can connect to FTP, SFTP and SMB shares as well as cloud storage. After the trial period runs out, the app wants you to buy the full version.

Here you get Solid Explorer with the Enable Pro patch from hoo-dles/morphe-patches, a community bundle maintained by hoo-dles. It targets the paywall that normally appears once the trial is over. The community AutoBuilds pipeline produces the APK with the Morphe CLI, so it isn't an official Morphe build, and NeatBytes didn't make it either.

What's different in this build

Enable Pro

The bundle's only Solid Explorer patch. It removes the purchase lock the app puts on its features.

Two panes, unchanged

Dual-pane browsing, archives and the file operations themselves are exactly what NeatBytes ships.

Network and cloud

Remote connections are set up the same way as in the official app. If you switch over, you'll need to add them again.

Universal APK

There's a single APK for all architectures, so just download it.

Installing Solid Explorer

  1. Write down your FTP, SMB or cloud logins if you rely on them. Uninstalling the Play Store copy removes saved connections.
  2. Uninstall the Play Store version. This APK is signed differently, so it can't replace it in place.
  3. Download the APK above and allow installs from unknown sources for the app you downloaded it with.
  4. Open Solid Explorer and give it the all-files access it asks for, or it can only see a few folders.

Solid Explorer FAQ

It's built from hoo-dles' open-source morphe-patches bundle by the community AutoBuilds pipeline, not by NeatBytes or the Morphe developers. A file manager has access to everything on your storage, so only install it if you trust that source.

No. You have to remove the Play Store version first, and that clears its saved servers and cloud accounts. Add them again in the new install.

No. It installs like any other app. Root is only relevant if you want Solid Explorer to browse system folders, and that's the same as in the official version.
