What is Morphe XRecorder?

XRecorder is InShot's screen recorder. A small floating button sits at the edge of the screen; tap it to start, stop or take a screenshot. It can record internal audio on Android versions that allow it, overlay your front camera, and trim the result in its built-in editor. It's free with ads, and InShot sells a Pro upgrade.

This build includes one patch from hoo-dles' community bundle hoo-dles/morphe-patches: Enable Pro. The bundle doesn't describe it beyond the name, so we're not going to list what it switches on. The community AutoBuilds pipeline builds the APK with the Morphe CLI; it's unofficial and not made by InShot or the Morphe team.

What we know about this build

Enable Pro

The only XRecorder patch in hoo-dles' bundle. It targets the Pro upgrade, though the patch comes without a description.

Recording works as normal

The floating button, internal audio support and facecam are XRecorder's own features and aren't modified.

Your videos stay yours

Recordings are saved to your phone's storage like in the official app.

Universal APK

There's only a universal build, so it's one download for any phone.

Installing XRecorder

  1. Uninstall the Play Store XRecorder if you have it. This APK has a different signature.
  2. Download the APK from the box above and allow your browser or file manager to install unknown apps.
  3. Install it, then allow the overlay permission so the floating button can appear.
  4. Start your first recording and accept Android's screen-capture prompt.

XRecorder FAQ

It's built from hoo-dles' open-source morphe-patches bundle by the community AutoBuilds pipeline. It's unofficial and modified, and a screen recorder can see whatever is on your screen, so install it only if you trust that source.

The bundle gives no description for it, only the name. It's aimed at XRecorder's Pro upgrade, but we can't confirm which features it covers.

Videos saved to your phone's shared storage normally stay after you uninstall. The app's settings are reset.

Android lets each app block internal audio capture, and older Android versions don't support it at all. That's an Android limit, not something the patch changes.
